Accessibility Statement for Idaho Parents Unlimited

We want everyone who visits the Idaho Parents Unlimited website to feel welcome and find the experience rewarding.

What are we doing?

To help us make the Idaho Parents Unlimited website a positive place for everyone, we follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, and user friendly for everyone.

The guidelines have three levels of accessibility (A, AA and AAA). We’ve chosen Level AA as the target for the Idaho Parents Unlimited website. We’re also working to the six additions that WCAG 2.2 made at that level:

  • Focus Not Obscured: when you move through the page with a keyboard, whatever you land on stays visible.
  • Dragging Movements: anything you can drag can also be done with a single tap or click.
  • Target Size: buttons and links are big enough to tap accurately.
  • Consistent Help: if we offer a way to get help, it stays in the same place on every page.
  • Redundant Entry: we don’t ask you to enter the same information twice in one process.
  • Accessible Authentication: signing in doesn’t depend on solving a puzzle or remembering a code.

How are we doing?

We’ve worked hard on the Idaho Parents Unlimited website, and we’re working to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA on every page. We check the site regularly and we’re still finding things to put right. If you run into a problem, please get in touch.
