Sarah has been educating and helping parents at Idaho Parents Unlimited since 2016.  She graduated from Boise State University, where she received her bachelor’s degree in Multidisciplinary Studies with a minor in Family Studies. She was also a founding member of the St. Luke’s NICU Family Advisory Committee. Sarah has worked in the field of Education, and early childhood education for over 30 years as an early childhood educator, program director, teacher, and coach.  She is a member of  Idaho’s Secondary Transition Team with the Idaho Department of Education,  and on West Ada School District’s Secondary Transition Team, representing families and students as they make the move from high school to adulthood,  in addition to many other state and local task forces aimed at strengthening services for Idaho’s families raising children from birth to adulthood. 

Sarah’s roots are firmly planted in Idaho, where she raised her three boys.  Sarah has spent the last 20 years (and counting) navigating Idaho’s complex health care systems and special education in Boise and West Ada as a mother and caregiver.  Her youngest son, Truman, who is 20 years old, has many complex medical needs and a primary diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy.    Sarah and her son Truman are dancers with the Open Arms Dance Project. Sarah has a passion for helping others, promoting collaborative partnerships to develop relationships, and advocating for elevated care.  Her love of life, family values, and appreciation for diversity and humanity are evident in the work she does.
