Ash Couture

Ash began working with Idaho Parents Unlimited in summer 2026. They graduated from Boise State University in May 2026 with a Bachelor of Arts in History Multidisciplinary Secondary Education with a Minor in Theatre Arts Education, and a Certificate in Elementary ASL. Ash has a deep passion for advocating for those in their community. As someone who has experienced what it means to disabled in the K-12 schools in Idaho they wanted to be a part of making it better for others. Ash has worked in multiple school districts across the valley, their last school placement before graduating was at Parma School District as a Rural Teacher Fellow recipient.

Outside of work Ash volunteers with the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls in Washington/Idaho. A junior youth sorority teaching members between the ages of 11-20 leadership, community service, communication and organizational skills. The group has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for charity over the years. Ash works with them to help members learn the importance of service to others, plan and attend events in their communities, raise awareness and funds for the charities they are passionate about. Ash’s main team worked with is marketing where they work on teaching youth members social media skills, website building, marketing both online and offline, along with community outreach. Ash also works with Canyon County Pride and Boise Pride as a volunteer primarily as a photographer.

Outside of work and volunteering Ash runs a small photography business, rides horses and enjoys reading books. Along with spending time with their partner and their family. While Ash doesn’t have kids Ash understands what it means to be a kid with a disability. Ash’s main diagnoses hemiplegic migraines with other disorders/ conditions. Ash understands what it means to be in a family that has a kid with added needs, because they were that kid. Ash is excited to continue helping others in the community and support everyone throughout all of Idaho.
